A READER ASKS
I found your very helpful site a while back and have been burrowing into FileMaker for some coworkers. We're currently stuck in FileMaker 6 and really need a way to duplicate records with related records. I must admit that I'm pretty new to FileMaker but am handy as heck with most other things technological. FM 6 simply does not have a "set variable" script and I can't figure a way to do what I want to do without it. Do you still have your FM 6 description for this script? If so, please send it my way.

DWAYNE RESPONDS
Back in the day, I produced a little over 300 shorter FileMaker 6 training movies and sold them as a collection. I’ve posted these free of charge on my dwaynewright.com web site. Here is the link ...

In the FileMaker Portal area, I think there is a movie that will probably do the trick for you. It is called Duplicating Related Records and is under 5 minutes long. For best performance, right click on the link and download the movie directly to your machine.

Here you can see the link as I’m right clicking on it to save the file to my local hard drive.
