Having a script talk to you in the debugging process is a technique that was born previous to the script debugger feature in FileMaker Advanced became an option to us. However, I think it is a bit unique and I thought I'd share it with you.
In this example we have two global fields, one for telling us how many times to loop and the other to show us the looping process. We have a script that performs the loop. It does an error check in the front of the script to make sure the loop request number is not empty. This is used to inform the user that they missed entering a critical piece of data.
We have added the Speak script step in key places in the script. If you have a Macintosh, click the start looping button to hear the messages.
