Does FileMaker Have A Back Button?
Unfortunately, no it does not and I don't think it ever will. Not that it isn't wanted because it would be one of the best user interface features they could add to the program. In particular with the FileMaker status bar feature they released with FileMaker 9.
There are many ways for a FileMaker developer to code back button functionality into a database. All of them have their respective strengths and weaknesses. The most obvious weakness of course is that FileMaker doesn't build it into the program.
Most techniques I have found take a couple hours or more, depends on the complexity of the database(s), and this includes reading up on the technique, testing and then final implementation. You can do a quick google search for FileMaker Back Button and finds loads of more information.
