You helped in in the way that now I truly know I do not know what I am doing.

But I have a issue with Filemaker Pro 11and I  have filemakergo  for my iphone. I have used it to locate a huge amount of photos now I need it to rename the photos names to a number I have in the database, then export them to one folder..

I know after watching your video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3q3H9l-B8g), which was very good that it can be done, but my skills are lacking to do it.

Can you please help me with this

I’m not sure that you would need to add the custom dialog option but you could certainly add that feature. The reason for the variable workaround is that you cannot use a calculated value to determine the path of where the file is stored and the name of the file is part of the path string. You can use FileMaker’s calculation dialog box to set a value into a variable and you can use a variable to set the path.
