A number of professionals think of a report as a list of topics with a value or number of associated values on each line. This is something you see commonly in Excel reports and FileMaker can perform these types of reports with ease.
Another method is to group the data and then list the individual values underneath it. This is also quite easy to do with FileMaker and it called grouped totals. I will get into the specifics of creating each in later discussions. I simply wanted to introduce the concept.
